Aloha Chocolate Lovers!

This week in the Cybercandy kingdom, it’s been all about a truly magical new product that’s just arrived in store. You may have heard us raving about it on Facebook and Twitter, if you’re an avid Cybercandy follower, then it’s been pretty hard to miss, but this is just that teeny bit extra special and we really feel that the entire world should know about it….

Milka Oreo!

Those two words, right there, should have a new dictionary entry under the definition of ‘yumtastic’.

Oh yes, we know how much you love Milka chocolate, and we also know how much you love Oreos, so when we heard that the two had come together in a magnificent bar of chocolatey goodness, we knew we had to have it. From there on in, getting this delicious chocolate bar in to our stores was a priority mission.

We can’t tell you how much we truly struggled, but if you imagine giant sea monsters and rogue pirates that were after the precious booty destined for Cybercandy shores, then you’ll have an idea of what we had to do to ensure the safe arrival of little piece of chocolate heaven. For an extra special product sourcing project like this we set up a dossier and gave the project its own pet name. This one we called “Project Mooreo”.

So what’s all the fuss about?

Well, imagine the creamiest Milka chocolate you’ve ever tasted from our European friends, and then combine that with moreishly delicious and crunchy pieces of the world famous Oreo cookies, and you have a chocolate lover’s match made in heaven. Want to try this for yourself? Of course  you do! All of our stores in London, Birmingham and Brighton are stocking Milka Oreo and you can also order online from the mothership. Be warned though, these are selling as fast as we can restock, so get your order in quick before someone else beats you to it!

Once you have the scrumptious bar(s) in your hand, and if you can manage to resist the temptation to eat the whole lot at once, why not have a go at making these Milka Oreo cupcakes?

We sourced the recipe for these beauties from a French website so we can’t take all the credit, but we did translate it for you.

200g Milka Oreo chocolate
100g melted butter
5 eggs
1 packet of vanilla sugar
1 sachet baking powder
250 g flour
150g of sugar
10 ml milk

1. Whisk the eggs and sugar
2. Add melted butter
3. Add flour and milk at the end of a smooth paste
4. Add yeast and vanilla sugar
5. In the middle add one to two Milka Oreo chocolate squares
6. Bake at 180 degrees C for 10 minutes, monitoring well, until a knife comes out clean and the chocolate is flowing in the middle.
7. For the topping use Nutella frosting, and chocolate square for decoration
