Zero to Hero!

Hola Candy Friends,

With all the excitement of the long weekend nearly behind us, the Great British public are winding up the bank holiday ready for the en-masse commute back to the office. Don’t panic though, you are never alone whilst you have sweet treats to help stave off that back-to-work boredom. Help is at hand my friends….

Not only is it a three day working week – hoorah! – but there is a hero just waiting in the wings to give you a mid-week candy fix and lift those spirits with a sweet sugar rush to see you through to the weekend. Double hoorah! And here it is, your hero for the week ahead…

Zero it may be called, but zero it most definitely is not. A truly unique offering from The Hershey Company, the Zero bar can only be described as a delicious mix between a Mars and a Snickers. It may be packaged up  in an understated wrapper, but this gorgeous candy bar is chocked with crunchy peanuts, gooey caramel and creamy almond nougat, topped with deliciously unusual white fudge. You may have noticed a word missing… chocolate. In fact, the Zero bar contains absolutely no chocolate at all! *GASP*

This is also a candy bar with a history, and boy do we love to know the story behind our exotic finds. Zero was first manufactured in the US in the 1920′s and has survived several company takeovers and even total factory destruction after a fire threatened its very existence in 1980. It wasn’t until Hershey’s took it over in 1996 that Zero truly became a hero across the USA.

So, what do we really think of it? Any candy bar that looks and tastes this delicious has a place in the Cybercandy kingdom, but to test its hero-worthiness to the full our good friend Marcus from Choc It Out took it onto the streets to get the low down from the good people of London Town.

Feeling hungry now? You can pick up your own yumtastic hero from any of our Cybercandy stores in London, Brighton or Birmingham or order from our online sweet shop. We deliver world-wide. Oh yes we do!

’til next week, keep being sweet!
