I bought these on others' recommendations assuring me that they were sooo much nicer than they sounded. They're not!! They are exactly as they sound - gummy bears covered in cheap tasting chocolate. Nasty business.

I will always remember the TV commercial for this bar that aired when I was a small child (we're talking early 1970's here) which had a kid pulling and stretching the caramel out from his mouth with his arm.

Nestle Butterfinger

Nestle Butterfinger: Many of the most famous brands of chocolate and confectionery were introduced in the 1920's in the US. Americans suddenly developed a greater appetite for ice cream, soft drinks and confectionery. The likely cause was the introduction of Prohibition in January 1920! Butterfinger was introduced in 1923. It's a peanut crunch bar with a thick chocolate coating. Because of its crumbly texture it makes a good topping for cheesecake or sundaes. It's often used in ice cream and other recipes.

They are great, my girlfriend got addicted to them during her pregancy. She emailed Nestle UK. Apparently they didn't sell well when they tried them in the UK? Strange........they're great!!
