In my humble opinion I do not rate the Diet version of A&W Root Beer at all. I love the regular kind and I hoped the diet would taste the same and cut down my carb intake - However I got 12 cans of each last order and one mouthful of the Diet was enough - gross. I'd stick to the regular kind if I were you - It rocks!

'Regular' A&W is fantastic stuff, but unlike other diet drinks, the diet version tastes almost exactly the same and absolutely no nasty aftertaste from the sweeteners. Considering how much of this stuff I drink while I'm working, it's probably a good thing :-)
