I agree with everything said about these - if you're looking for a chocolate fix, stay away from these, the texture is like cardboard and so on, yet I'm completely addicted to them. My friend in Washington State, agrees that they are just one of those things that absolutely disgusts you, yet you can't help loving.

I will always remember the TV commercial for this bar that aired when I was a small child (we're talking early 1970's here) which had a kid pulling and stretching the caramel out from his mouth with his arm.

As summarised previously this is like a UK Snickers, although I like to think it's the chocolate love child of a Snickers & a Lion bar, with added Crack. Simply incredible I too had built it's hype being an 80s child & fan of the Goonies (RUTH! RUTH! BABY! RUTH!) and will never look at another chocolate again. Not to be ignored this is king of snack with second place going to the Oh Henry bar ^_^

Nestle Butterfinger

Nestle Butterfinger: Many of the most famous brands of chocolate and confectionery were introduced in the 1920's in the US. Americans suddenly developed a greater appetite for ice cream, soft drinks and confectionery. The likely cause was the introduction of Prohibition in January 1920! Butterfinger was introduced in 1923. It's a peanut crunch bar with a thick chocolate coating. Because of its crumbly texture it makes a good topping for cheesecake or sundaes. It's often used in ice cream and other recipes.

The best way to describe a butterfinger is that it's peanut butter brittle in milk chocolate. Once you bite into one the texture is similar to that of a Crunchie bar, but the taste is very much like peanut butter. The bar itself is also very sweet, but it makes anice worthwhile treat.
