These are the best, most original & unique flavor I have ever tasted! Extremely addicting! I wish these were sold in the States. Just let it absorb in your mouth, and savor the flavor!

A friend in Australia just sent me several rolls of the musk Lifesavers, and after the first one, I am hooked! Not too strong with a very unusual, likeable taste. You will either love these or hate them, but for me, will be one of my all-time favorites!

These are absolutely gorgeous. It's probably a good thing that they're not easliy bought in the UK: I'd eat far too many of them!
However, I do think they are the kind of taste you either love or hate. If you like Parma Violets and Floral Gums, you'll love these: if you don't, you won't - so, more for the rest of us!

I bought a roll of Musk flavored Lifesavers while visiting Australia a few years ago. They were bright pink, so I thought it would be similar to bubblegum flavor. I could only eat one. It was like sucking on a piece of incense. I then gave the rest of my roll to one of my siblings who ate one and passed it on to someone else. When last heard from, the last few had made it down the family tree to my cousin's desk at work and was gathering dust.

I am an unsuspecting American who was goaded into trying these by a very close Australian friend. I trusted his sense of taste and that if he actually liked them, then they couldn't be as bad as they sounded. After all, he hated vegemite and I did too when I tried it, so maybe we had similar tastes! The smell of the musk life savers was just... well, basically, it smelled like a stick of deodorant. The smell is a feminine floral musk. The taste? Well, imagine licking a stick of women's deodorant or spraying some feminine musk perfume in your mouth. Ever gotten on a bus with an old lady who put way too much perfume on and you could actually taste it? Same situation, only with the sweetness of sugar. I couldn't finish it and spit it out. Not _disgusting_ per se, but not something I'd ever eat again in my life. I'll stick to musk being a scent here in the States, and not a flavor! Blech.

The flavor in my mouth wasn't too bad, but when I swallowed my stomach really turned upside down. There you are you little NASTY! Pretty dark-sided stuff.

I recently received a pack of these from a friend who just returned from Australia. I think it was supposed to be a joke, but I love them. I was born Pennsylvania Dutch and there used to be a very similar flavored candy up there (I'm in Tx. now Yee haw).

Not like palma violets...

Yes, palma violets are still available, but they had a sort of souriness to them. The musk sweets have a hint of sweetness, but they are more disguised by the muskness. It is more of a scent than a flavour. They are quite a bit thicker than a polo- I was surprised -and more chalky, a bit like a dibdap lolly, but less crumbly. But they are nice- unusually so.
