3 out of 5 stars Tasty but strange 5 Oct, 2010
Reviewer: A customer from Winchester
Couldn't place the flavour but was similar to a combination of coffee, rice and hazelnut. I would buy them again, but probably not as a gift for a friend.

3 out of 5 stars Half Baked Effort 5 Jul, 2010
Reviewer: A customer from Glasgow
Kinako - toasted soybean flour is basically like the japanese equivalent of dusting cocao powder on confectionary. It gives a nice nutty flavour. In this kit kat the rice part of the mochi is represented by rice krispies in the kit kat to give it crunch although the rice cake in the ohagi is not crunchy. The kinako was difficult to taste, perhaps they should have sprinkled some on or given you a sachet to sprinkle yourself. The red bean was totally absent. Quite disappointed with this as kinako ohagi is my favourite mochi and i heard great things about the green tea flavour and red bean flavour of kit kat.

5 out of 5 stars Mutant Kitkats 29 Mar, 2010
Reviewer: A customer from Birmingham
If the Fantastic Four had taken a KitKat into space with them on the fateful day they encountered flesh-mutating intergalactic radiation, the Nestle KitKat Kinako Ohagi is what would have returned to Earth. The chocolate is infused with mochi (a sort of blissed out rice cake) puffs while the cream between the wafers includes a liberal dose of kinako (soybean – what confectionary has been lacking all these years) powder. It's really rather reminiscent of chowing down on some moss covered tree bark.
