Swedish Fish Red 3.1oz Box
In 1958, Malaco, a Swedish confectionery manufacturer, decided to expand its business by exporting a few of their products to North America. Various Licorice Ribbons and Licorice Laces candies were the first products to be exported. The Malaco exporting business grew and in the late 1960s and early 1970s, Swedish Fish were developed specifically for the North American market. They are a popular favourite with our customers and they are suitable for vegans.

I was expecting these to be a standard jelly fruit sweet, when in fact they are anything but. Very sweet but flavoursome and with a soft jelly that's not too chewy, these are really wonderful sweets. And extremely moreish. But luckily you get quite a few.

I wasn't sure how 'Swedish Fish' would taste but I was happily pleased with these cute jelly sweets. They have a pleasantly mild jelly sweet taste and do not taste fishy at all, thank goodness.
